Summer Classes End Our two Micronesia Bible College summer classes, Corinthian Letters and Children's Ministry were finished the last week of July. It was a fun filled and exciting time although a little challenging doing regular 16 week classes in an 8 week period, which met twice weekly with longer class hours. Students representing 5 different local churches and other state islands attended. It was a great time of sharing and learning hands-on activities.
2010 Fall Semester Begins August 31st This fall we will be offering five courses of study. Our day time classes will be Improving English, Marriage and Family, Principles of Teaching and the Work of the Ministry. Our night course will be The Life of Christ.
“Let them give glory to the Lord
and declare His praises in the islands.”
Isaiah 42:12
Prayer Requests: 1) Three young men on Kosrae who took applications to attend the Bible College this fall. May the Lord guide them and us at this moment in this time of decision. 2) Funds to replace the existing roof on the main college building estimated cost $3,000. 3) God's continual grace upon us --- health, strength, wisdom and guidance. 4) The upcoming fall semester - that God will bring in those whom He wants as students at Micronesia Bible College. |

Our previous newsletter:
Greetings in Jesus wonderful name.
Happy Independence Day. As you celebrate this Fourth, remember your true independence day, the day Christ set you free, as Galatians 5:1 says " It is for freedom that Christ has set you free."
Freedom or Christian liberty has been a topic for us here at Micronesia Bible College. First in our class on Galatians & Romans and now as we study the Corinthian Letters. Thank God we have been set free from the condemnation, guilt and bondage of sin through the sacrifice of Jesus, His death on the cross, His burial and resurrection. Praise God, we are now free to praise Him, love Him and serve Him, to love and serve one another and declare His glory to all the earth. Such freedom Christ as given to us, wonderful isn't it. Without preaching, let me briefly share four guidelines for walking in Christian liberty we have been discussing with our students:
1) Will my actions be beneficial? Helpful to myself and others?
2) Will this act become my master?
3) Is love (for Christ and others) my motivation?
4) Can I do this for the Glory of God?
As we share our prayer requests this month, Mary-Ann and I want to say THANK YOU. We appreciate your prayers, loving-kindness and support for us. Please pray for:
1) Three young men on Kosrae who took applications to attend the Bible college this fall. May the Lord guide them and us at this moment in the their lives.
2) Our summer classes - Corinthian Letters (8 students) and Children's Ministry (22 students) that end July 29.
3) Funds to replace the existing roof on the main college building estimated cost $3,000.
4) Gods continual grace upon us here --- health, strength, wisdom and guidance.
5) The upcoming Fall semester that God will bring in those whom He wants as students in MBC.
The Lord's blessing be with you, may He smile upon you and provide your every need.
Our love and prayers,
Bill & Mary-Ann Schubert,
your Missionaries in Micronesia.
